It MIGHT work but only if you can keep the liquid away from the edge of the 
disc so it doesn't soak the paper base and only if the laminate has no cracks 
or openings..both impossible to guarantee. If you've ever used a Monks you'll 
know that the brush covers a much larger area than the playing surface and that 
spillage is impossible to avoid..even more difficult if you're using a clamp to 
hold the disc flat.
