[78-L] recording date Mattia Battistini?

Hi everybody. I found a 12" pink labelled HMV record today with the baritone Mattia Battistini. I wonder if anybody could help me with the recording date (or at least year)?

matrix: 261ai

There's a "G" at 3 o'clock too - I seem to recall that the "G" means that it is from the first stamper?
