That was the contention of the two companies which preferred gold
sputtering of the wax masters, Edison and Western Electric/World
Broadcasting System. But finely powdered graphite has the consistancy
of talcum powder, so it really might not make that much difference. It
is a factor only in wax mastering, not lacquer,
