Even better, she wanted to ban it ("Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Where Are You?" because the author, Bill Martin, also wrote a book entitled "Ethical Marxism". Except that it was a DIFFERENT BILL MARTIN.

A recurring problem in the State of Texas are school boards that ban 
certain books and authors. A recent case is that of a toxic board 
member who voted to ban a book by an author she deemed “leftist.” Turns 
out the author was a well-known author of (non-leftist) children’s 
books. .
