There are a number of forms of collecting that suffer from the fact  
that forgeries or fakes can be fairly easily produced that fool all  
but the most astute expert and one doesn't know how often they are  
fooled. Signed pieces of paper probably head the list. When values go  
up, opportunists see a chance to 'steal' a lot of money.
