Just to clarify, my copy of the Duffy has gold on red and blue on blue labels,
the SAME format..not the later popular Musicraft style of '46-8. They also had
a late silver-on-blue 15000 series and Artie Shaw's Pied Piper has black on
green labels and that's a late entry in the N- album series which had
previously been Night Life In New York.
Just to shake things up even further.

>>> OK, Ok, stop the presses. I had the record in my own library all along: "Hot Fiddle Classics " by Al Duffy & his Rhythmasters on Musicraft 66. Signorelli on piano, Shopnick on bass, and Mottola on guitar. The album is filled with hot versions of classical standards. The other titles are Poet & Peasant Overture, Salut a Pesth, Anitra's Dance, and Danza Delle Ore. Cary Ginell

Was this ever on a "real" label? I wouldn't keep asking about these sides if they weren't so good. Duffy did one other sesssion in 1938 but this sounds at least a decade later. Cary Ginell
