do a search for "warped CD". I got 4 hits. Some of the measures look
extreme but if the thing doesn't play anyway there doesn't seem to be
much to lose

No way would I stick it in the oven like I do to my warped 78s. I would try your suggestion of putting weight on it but put it on a warm surface. For instance put a hot pan on your countertop first. THen move and put the CD on the warm spot with some weight.

The computer can read the track list but won't play it. I was thinking of putting a lot of weight on it for a period of time, but wondered if this is a waste of time???
