I too feel bad for the people of Haiti, to have so little and to have even
that destroyed, wow.

I'm just glad you didn't find that great big box a floatin' in the bay.

Subject: [78-L] FW: Haiti

Very unusual coincidence happened yesterday. I had just received a large
package
 in the mail and turned on the radio to hear of the disastrous earthquake
 in Haiti that cause so much destruction. When I got home, I opened the
box to find a lavishly packaged box set of 10 CDs documenting Alan
 Lomax's field recordings in Haiti in 1936 and 1937. A lot of the music is
hard to listen to, but there are many that are quite beautiful. There are
some very horrifying images of the effects of the quake on the internet. I
feel very bad for those people.

 Very strange.
