If I come across my Toscanini/NYPSO records of the Beethoven 7th and the 
Semiramide overture, I will play them and count the revolutions of silence. 
I gave my 78s to a local university library in 1960.  It is interesting to 
note that recently a neighbor happened to visit the Northern State 
University library one day.  On a "giveaway" table there, he found many of 
my 78s!  He brought them over and wondered if I wanted them back.  Without 
hesitation, I accepted his gift of my 78s.  Back home again!  (They even had 
our special labels attached, telling the user how to play the various speed 
records!)
