[78-L] hoo-HAA dispute

Just thought I'd warn everyone again about an eBay buyer from Japan who goes by "bookofballard." This is the "gentleman" who called me "worst person" a while back. Anyway, the nut has since filed a claim with PayPal, which froze the money the guy paid me (guess he could never find the American embassy that he was threatening to complain about my split-seam LP racketeering). He's now saying that he never got the record I sent him, when in his negative feedback, he ACTUALLY DESCRIBED THE ITEM. Poor strategy. I immediately escalated the claim and spoke to the resolution dept. who took one look at his record and said -without explaining why- that they will probably rule in my favor. I've since written to eBay to get the flaming feedback removed. Another problem is that bookofballard's feedback numbers are listed as "private." Apparently you can do this if you are not a seller and only buy items. So this buyer's feedback comments are now conveniently hidden.

But take heart, fellow sellers! In describing my situation to eBay, I told them that honest sellers are basically defensive against crackpots like bookofballard; we have no recourse in warning other sellers against unscrupulous buyers since they took away our power of filing negative feedback. I was informed that all of this is going to change in the first quarter of 2010. They are working on a system that will make all of this much fairer to responsible sellers. They couldn't give me any details but assured me things will be changing for the better soon. Let's hope they're right.
