[78-L] Miss Voice-O-Graph (sorry, no photos)

The article said she was crowned during Mardi Gras in Coney Island
during September 1947, and that the tiara was made up of Voice-O-Graph
blanks.  First of all, I've never noticed there being a Mardi Gras
celebration in Coney Island, especially in September.  (There is a
Mermaid Parade in the Spring, and a Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest on
July 4, though.)   I wonder what they did for beads in 1947?
