Our favorite auction site shows at least two different versions on 45. One
mirrors the 78 set: same cover and four sides. One is an EP set with I
presume only two discs, but it appears to be all seven (or eight!) tunes.
Any idea which might be better? I might just get both sets!

The 78 transfer went well. I used the 300 Hz turnover and took care of the
hiss with the parametric EQ in my DAW. I didn't see your message about
speed until I'd already done the transfers...took care of that in the DAW,
too!

I'm pleased with the join I made between the two sides of "'Twas the
night...", though I had a tough time deciding if I should leave the original
fade-in and -out intact. I opted not to and tried for a seamless join. To
satisfy the purist in me I saved unedited versions of those two sides.
