BUT...these World (and some UK Vocalion) discs were cut at a constantly-
varying rotational speed! They were designed so the effective linear
velocity of the groove passing under the needle remained the same.
So...the first step would be to establish exactly what that linear velocity
WAS...the second would be how to match this varying linear velocity,
and the resultant constantly-varying rotational rate could be simulated...?!
