I was at the downsizing sale of for an older Greek gentleman.  I poked around quite a bit and found a collection of Greek 78 rpm records stashed away in a cupboard.  The old fellow said he wsn't going to sell these records, he was going to see about getting them recorded.  He said they belonged to his father and he hadn't heard them for years.  I told him I'd make CDs for him if he'd sell them to me so he did.  His wife gave me an address to mail the CDs to and I took them home.  It took about a couple weeks to record them all and get them onto 6 CDs, them I mailed them.  I got a very sweet thank you note from his wife about a month later.  My wife read it and she cried (she's a sensitive lady).

Sometimes my hobby yields rewards beyond finding great music unknown to me.

I get entire collections free that way. And I usually live to regret offering
to transfer certain items (if they want the entire load transferred, then it's
no deal).
