How about removing fungus from brown wax cylinders. It doesn't improve their sound, because the pits in the wax left by the fungus' growth remain. However, it can stop the spread of the fungus to new areas of the cylinder. Does anyone have a suggestion? An old time cylinder collector told me in the 1980's he used cold cream, but I don't know how that works.
