"his records are of greater jazz than blues interest".

For the Monday 26(!) July 1942 session the personnel is shown as
Freddie Webster-tp and unknown as/ts/b/d and own p.

It's an open secret that the trumpet player is Freddie/Freddy Webster, 
who wrote attractive "Reverse The Charges" (on which he solos). Williams 
is not listed in any jazz discography that I've seen. Perhaps it was 
because Williams's name gives the impression that he was a blues singer, 
rather than a jump band singer.

Ruppli's Decca books give no personnel, not even Webster. Anyone know 
who they might be? Is Williams listed in any blues discography?

Williams has no connection with Sonny Boy Williamson or Sonny Boy 
Williamson No.2.
