He also produced Barry White.
For me he was the guy who wrote and recorded "Love Theme", actually the
instrumental background used as B-side to Felice Taylor's hit single "I'm
Under The Influence Of Love" in 1967. The heavy beat was supplied by the
best session drummer of all times, Earl Palmer - who also started out on 78
rpm recordings, and passed away just a year ago.
