No "On Mobile Bay" on Harmony or any other budget Columbia label in the books.
Could it have been "Mobile Bay" by Rex Stewart & His Orchestra (Ellington
group) on Bluebird? The flip was "Linger Awhile".

One was done as a pop song with the International Orchestra backing. It was issued on Victor 20913.. This is a fine version of the song. They did another version along with Adelyne Hood on violin and Robison on guitar. This was issued on Cameo 8114, Romeo 537 and Licoln 2768. This is my favorite version. The three of them did a 3rd version on Pathe 32335. It was also issued on Perfect 12414 and Supertone 32330. I hope this helps. If not I might be able to get an MP3 or wav copy for you from my friends who now own my collection. Jack

Can't recall the band, the catalog number, or the B-side. Does anyone have a copy of this record and/or does anyone have a copy to sell? Thanks!
