Now Scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2009
Today, Friday November 13, 2009, marks the 100th
anniversary of the
remarkable Polk Miller and His Old South Quartette Edison
recordings
that took place in Richmond, Virginia.
I just received an
email from NPR; National Public Radio will
highlight this important
anniversary on the nationally broadcast
program “All Things Considered”
Monday November 16. Tim Brooks and I
were interviewed for this piece and it
is exciting news that the
“Music and the Story of Polk Miller and His Old
South Quartette” will
be shared with millions of people.
In the United
States, "All Things Considered" airs between 4-6PM in
each time zone; please
check your local NPR station for "All Things
Considered" air times at this
link:

For
Polk Miller fans outside the US; please link to NPR Worldwide to

I appreciate the efforts of
those who have helped make the awareness
of this important American event
possible.
Thank you,
Ken Flaherty,
