If that's not rhetorical....Koffman (1928-2001) was a Canadian jazz
musician.  He played flute, soprano, alto and tenor saxes, and clarinet.
His original 'Swingin' shepherd blues' was a hit single featuring him on
flute, from 1957 or 1958.   Very likely to be found on a Canadian 78.
