NEWS FLASH
I have a room full of empty boxes. But it's getting so I'll actually see 
the far wall any time now.
Not only do I collect records, it also seems I also collect the boxes 
they arrived in. I'll put them away thinking, "This is a perfectly good 
box. I'll save it for the next time I ship someone some records" or "I 
never have enough small boxes at Xmas time I'll just put it in there 
with the others," and like that.
So, I have a room full of empty boxes.
The cats have never been in that room, I can assure you.
Last week I decided enough is enough and began tearing them down. 
Unfortunately the *%* things are still full of squillions of packing 
peanuts of all shapes, sizes and content, wadded up newspaper, styrofoam 
sheets and other cleverer packing materials, all of which have to be 
bagged up for recycling and landfill tossage.
So with a CD playing in the background of the 78s that came in the boxes 
(I didn't want the boxes to feel lonely, you know?) I hacked and 
slashed, cut and bagged, sliced an diced and otherwise created a mayhem 
that has not been seen since St. George slew the dragon. And I have 
persevered. And I can almost see the far wall and sunlight through a 
window I'd forgotten was there.
Victorious!... until next week.
