Brian Boyd didn't like " Coffee Dan's" ?? What was wrong with ol' Brian??
But be that as it may, the question is , was it recorded in the real Cofee
Dan's or not? The Brunswick book does state that it was recorded in San
Fran so I've always hoped it really was done in the club itself.

Weird. I played "Coffee Dan's" just last night for a visitor! I love that
disc, even though it was over modulated. I heard from someone or read
someplace that everyone was utterly smashed when that record was made. Sure
sounds it, but it is a fun one to pull off the shelf one in awhile! There's
a local reference to Schenectady NY in there as well, which was my reason
for playing it in the first place....

I forgot about Biff Hoffman..mercifully. Brian Boyd played one of his
Brunswick
sides when it was "guest night" at Night Camp. He also introduced "A Night
At
Coffee Dan's" as his choice for "worst record ever made" but I liked that
one.
