"Henry Burr was another one of those singers to recorded for at least a
dozen different companies just as Billy Murray,Irving Kaufman, Vernon Dalhart did between the late teens and the late twenties".

I know this about Kaufmann, Burr and Dalhart, but what pseudonyms did Billy Murray ever use? (with a unique voice like that, how could HE use another name and get away with it!?)

BTW, the annual Gennett Walkway Of Stars in Richmond IN last weekend was a wonderful occasion. Ernest & Hattie Stoneman were doubly honored by their beautiful new plaque and amusical appearance by their surviving children Patsy, Donna and Roni (the "ironing board lady" on "Hee Haw.")

"One wag, in faint praise, once remarked that MOXIE kills the taste of egg salad. Another opined that MOXIE has the flavor of Livoris with a dash of onion. And one otherwise refined lady claims that MOXIE tastes like a dirty ashtray. Which raises the question: how many ashtrays has she lapped lately?!" --The Book Of Moxie, by Frank N. Potter
