Interesting! As Malcolm notes, Ben Hokea and Al Nani (I assume that
were their real names) recorded extensively in Montreal for the HMV-
Victor 216xxx series...probably 1918-1922. To what extent they
performed "live," or broadcasted (as Gennett said?!) is AFAIK
unknown?!
