[78-L] Arabic Victors

Dear Rob,

"Imported"?  Since these are Victor pressings, they were probably imported from Victor's Camden NJ plant.  Except for California and a few Western states, I had thought customs between the Original 13 fell by the wayside after the Revolutionary War.

63802.  As you must know, this is a military band.

63809 - 7850b mx:  This record was recorded by Fred Gaisberg himself in Cairo in 1905/1906.  The singer is Mohamed Sadek.  The 1/2 mx refers to Part 2.  The other side is Part 1.  To the left of the title, you'll see an Arabic #1 on Side A, #2 on Side B.

69194:  Recorded in New York in 1916.
