[78-L] Jan Savitt and vocalists

I wrote a tribute to Savitt for jazz.com, particularly since I got hold of
wonderful transfers of One Night Stands of his band with strings from
1944-5. In my opinion, this ensemble was the best group he led, as well as
one of the great bands of the recording ban era.

Mr. Lennick was kind enough to run off a copies of the tracks he prepared
for an ASV release of Savitt's 1937-41 band which never came out on CD.
