Just been playing Johnny Messner's "Bessie Couldn't Help It" (Varsity 8357).

On it he sings:

"Bessie may but cute
If you're crazy for the girls
But I could never get excited
About anything in curls

My friends are strictly masculine
Not altogether fussy

Oh, switch you brazen hussies"

Also of interest is that the vocal is accompanied by electric guitar for 
the first part, and then acoustic.
