[78-L] Another Goon's Question

Based on the 'Have a gorilla' question from yesterday (no thanks I 
just put one out!), I dug out my Goon's 78s the mp3-ify them. So I 
get to The Ying Tong Song (Decca F.10780) and painstaking dub it over 
in my not so sterile room. I then set about to trimming the wav file 
and I notice that there seems to be a mastering error. At the very 
beginning I hear a single note played on the flute and then a rest 
before the track starts  .. as in dut (abrupt cut) -rest - da de da 
dah de dah dah de dah. Can anyone else who has this 78 or has this 
tune on another medium tell me if this is the way it was mastered?
