[78-L] Wife Swap TV program is looking for collectors

I don't know what kind of limits the producers place on the changes that the new
"wife" is allowed to institute--it's hard to imagine that they would allow pets to be
given away or euthanised (and that's one of their favourite pairings, pet-haters and
pet-lovers). But I would seriously suggest that collectors of records--or *anything* that
they want to see preserved and left intact--should drop Wife Swap like a very hot potato.
There's every chance that the person who moves in will tamper with or alter the collection
(packing it up for storage, mishandling it, acting generally careless) and the resulting
conflict will provide the screaming, tears, and accusations that have caused TV to move
even further into the sewer (mind you, I only watched Wife Swap when I was really, really
bored and on principle I refuse to see it again). I can just picture someone declaring
"These records are from 1923 and I can't see them having any value. Let's play frisbees!"
Or turning them into some ghastly art project. And of course they'll edit your footage to
emphasise any bad points they can, take comments out of context, and plenty of other
nefarious practices that, to me anyway, couldn't possibly make it worth any amount of
money.
