[78-L] Ooops

Hello everyone!

I joined 78-L a couple of weeks ago, I have been involved in a few
discussions and look forward to many more. I apologize in advance if this is
the wrong place to say this but I thought I would answer the question below
from Bill, "What Auctions Are Out There"?

I have been a collector for about 18 years and started selling on occasion a
short time after that and then more so when ebay came about. I also have
sold on gemm but I decided a couple months ago that I would start to sell my
78s through "paper" (email) auctions which we are planning on sending out by
July 21st. Although we still have a store on ebay and I enjoy the
interaction with customers it is becoming too expensive to sell items there
and it's not the venue I most appreciate. I enjoy a good auction just as
much as anyone else but I myself very rarely purchase an item on ebay I have
purchased on liveauctioneer.com and from several local auction houses and
have bid in Naucks and a few other auctions. I am trying to slowly move my
auctions over the next year or so to "paper" auctions and I think we will be
able to do this.

Again I want to apologize for this shameless plug but when I saw the email
below I thought this may be an opportunity to make other collectors who have
not purchased from me in the past aware of my auctions.

If anyone is interested please just send me an email and I hope I have not
offended anyone.

Regards,

Ron

This is a good question. What auctions are out there?

I have been know to bid at Kurt Nauck's (78rpm.com), Alan Cooperman's
(jazz78s.com) , Joel Slotnikoff's (bluesworld.com), Gene Pemberton's
(recordfinders.com), George Wilson's (alljazz.us), John Tefteller's
(tefteller.com), Jesse Stewart's (grrecords.com), Tom Hawthorn's
(thoseoldrecords.com), and Warren Hick's (recordsforcollectors.com).

What other auction sites are there? I don't buy anything on ebay.
