[78-L] Auctions vs. "Make offer"

I think it is really just a matter of not having the time. I'm self
employed and married and try to spend as much time with my family as I can.
Participating in an auction can be done or not done on my time. I don't
mind making an offer. I have to think about what I want to spend and once
that amount is placed I can live with the results. Sometimes I make the
best offer and sometimes I don't. I do like the way Kurt works his
auctions. I also like the Green River auction which shows the second best
bid so you have the opportunity to bid more than once.
I know I've over paid on occasion but I also know I"ve won many 78s with a
minimum bid.
So it has nothing to do with not trusting eBay. I've just enjoyed the
auction process so far. It just works for me.
I'll get there. My grandfather on my mother's side was a tortoise.
