Subject: [78-L] What the Heck?
Yesterday, on his "Big Broadcast" program, Rich Conaty played a record he
identified as being a 1928 performance by Guy Lombardo. I cannot locate it
in any of my discographies. It was a most un-Lombardi peformance of
"Nobody's Sweetheart". I assume it was a Columbia release but I cannot find
it even on the "Online 78 rpm Discography." Rust doesn't list it either.
The performance was so good, and so jazzy that I would never have ID'd it as
a Lombardo disc.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
Al Simmons
