Thanks David. I can certainly get you images. The label will end up on my site but I will send you a higher res one separately along with the cover art and the "story" on the inside of the front cover. This matches what I already had as white label test pressings from Columbia in terms of matrix numbers. The album came out as sides 1/4 and 2/3. I have two sets of test pressings, one is 1/4 & 2/3 and the other is 1/2 & 3/4.
The cover art is Steinweiss, right? The signature on this one is "Joe Blow."
Cheers,
Glenn

Hi Glenn,
David Hall confirmed that it was halted before release but a substantial number were given away to industry insiders. His copy is in the Rodgers & Hammerstein archive.
Someday, if you have the time and inclination, I would very much like to obtain 600 dpi bmp images of the labels and cover art.
Nice find!

Is it true that this label, that was used for the crepitation contest, was never
officially released?? I know they made it out there but wanted to confirm it was
not released.? I found the 2-12" record set today with the binder at an estate
sale.? It would make sense as there were Columbia test pressings in with the
collection.? I'm guessing someone in the family had worked at the nearby
Columbia plant.
?
Thanks,
Glenn
