Thanks, Taylor.
This reminds me of another... Hitchcock film about a murder. Two persons
that meet in the train plan to kill someone (each one his own murder). They
agree to switch victims, in the belief that the police will never solve the
crimes, being the victims completely unrelated to the murderer.
Naturally, the police ends solving the two murders. Interesting film.
One of the victims is also a girl who works in a record store.

Hi Inigo,
I think that's Penny Serenade...Melancholy Serenade was the theme music on
the old Jackie Gleason TV show.
And, speaking of stealing music...the Gleason theme is pretty much the same
as the 1936 pop tune Through The Courtesy of Love...there is a memorable
Richard Himber record of it.

I've always loved "Melancholy Serenade" because of the thrilling story,
which always bring tears to my eyes... specially when Cary Grant defends his
rights to stay with the little girl despite his uncertain echonomic
stability...
But almost a stronger point is the loooong scenes in the record shop where
Irene Dunne works, when Cary Grant goes there to buy hundreds of 78s.
