"MP3" is basically the standard sound-file format of the XXI Jahrhundert!
Most current sound players can/will play MP3 files; how good they sound
depends on choices made by the creators, since the format allows for
choices as far as sampling rate and such. The format was originally
created for personal/portable music players...so there exist various
degrees of  "accuracy" per original sound file vs. MP3 version...!
