[78-L] The Diplomats..who they?

Anyone ever heard of a vocal quartet on VT Columbia called "The Diplomats"? I 
picked up a disc by them today, "Come On and Make Whoopee"/"Oh You Sweet Old 
Watcha May Call It". Accompanied by heavy-handed piano, occasional accordion, 
intermittent saxophone, lots of enthusiasm, definitely in the "so bad they're 
good" category. According to the Columbia books they made a number of sides in 
the late 20s, although some of the master numbers cross-referenced turn out to 
be incorrect.
