Thanks Michael. The early Victor story sure seems convoluted and hard to follow. Kind of like trying to follow a family history where married step siblings have to get factored in.

It is on the reverse of many single-sided Victors made from IMPORTED 
masters.

classical label for EMI's Capitol in the U.S. in the LP era.  But it was 
the logo on pre-dog Gramophone Co. labels in much of Europe before 1909/
