[78-L] FW: Amazing Ellington sound

Has this 4-CD set from BMG/Sony International been discussed here before?
Supercheap, at $9 and I am AMAZED at the transfers of the mid-30s Ducal
Brunswicks, which in this incarnation, sound fully as hi-fi as the 1933-34
Victors.  In addition, there are two takes of the 1934 Paramount studio
recording session for "Ebony Rhapsody," which sonically, sound like they are
from the 1960s, not the 1930s!

I'll have to try the Glenn Miller in this series to see what that sounds
