The formula is a function of: (1) CAV playback speed, (2) inner groove
diameter, and (3) outer groove diameter.  Choice of CAV playback speed
is an important factor when it comes to the audio quality of the
transfer.

We've reverse engineered a number of CLV dictation machines (like the 
Gray Audograph) in order to validate the formulas, and then transferred 
dozens of CLV discs - mostly dictations and spoken word - but the 
formulas would be the same for music recordings.
