That comic monologue is timeless. I am a member of a local theatre group and a few years ago the director was looking to fill in a couple of slots for an upcoming comedy night with comedy routines, I played the "No News" record for him and he loved it so much, we used it in the Comedy Night. He played the part of the Wealthy Man, and I played his man servant Henry. The Audience was laughing so hard and so long after I gave the line "It was because of the Shock of your wife running off with the Chauffeur ", it took me two or three minutes to finally say, "But other than that sir there ain't no news!!".

Heres's my Nat M Wills story
Several years ago I went around to a bunch of antique shops and fleas
markets on a Sunday. I found a box of records and thumbed through
them. Typical stuff. You know, 78s of In The Mood by Glenn Miller
going for $5.00. Oh -- and of course with a prices sticker in the run
off groove area. And there in the midst of the clueless junk, Victor
5612 -- No News or What Killed the Dog - Nat M Wills. Price -- 25 cents!
My good fortune -- their dumbness
Tony
