[78-L] Shortest 78

A number of the records mentioned wouldn't qualify as the shortest 78, first of all because, as has been mentioned, they aren't 78s and secondly, if they have a 30 minute silent groove then the record is 30 minutes long.  If the disc has no groove, then it's not a record at all, it's just a plate.

The shortest 78 I ever came across is a speech by Leo Tolstoy.  That 10 inch record has about an inch, (2.2 cms.) of groove area and the rest of the surface has the signature of Tolstoy.  It plays for about 47 seconds.
