[78-L] American Goon show exposure

shows, (or was it just via shortwave?).   The Goons make fun of Bob Hope 
and Steve Allen in one episode.
And the CBC carried Jack Benny on its Sunday night  schedule for 
years.  And also Vic & Sade and others.
Anyway, depending on the American ratings for the Goons,  there 
could have been a market for their singles.

Our college radio station in the early '50s received 12 inch transcriptions  
of the Goon Show from the BBC.  I, of corse, put them on 7" reels...
 
Later that decade WNYC in New York and I beleve WKCR-FM as well.  I  taped 
many off the air.
