For what it's worth, my database for my collection shows 203 individual 78 sides containing titles with the word "moon" in them. I don't know how accurate a sample that is, because I have skewed tastes towards jazz and country, but it represents about 2.2% of the 78s in my collection. This, of course, includes multiple recordings or issues?of the same song. The songs with the?most instances are:

Blue Moon (5)
How High the Moon (9)
In the Chapel in the Moonlight (5)
It's Only a Paper Moon (5)
Moonglow (or Moon Glow) (8)
Roll Along Prairie Moon (5)
Shine On, Harvest Moon (6)

As far as "Moon" artists go, I have three on 78: country pianist Aubrey "Moon" Mullican, bandleader Art Mooney, and hillbilly artist Moonshine Kate (the nickname for Rosa Lee Carson, Fiddlin' John Carson's daughter).

I know of a maniac who transfers every 78rpm with "Moon" in it's title, that
he can get his hands on, onto CD. He calls them "Moon Tunes." He already
has close to twenty CD's of this genre. I could ask him for a list of
titles but he's too lazy. He says he's only scrached the surface and will
dedicate the rest of his life to complete this project (among many others).
If he weren't my closest friend I'd send him to a doctor.
