[78-L] playback of broken records WAS Homer and Jethro--33 King sides only

A question on the playback of your broken record... do you transfer at a
greatly reduced speed? Are the two halves taped together in some way? I
would think that playing a record with any crack at 78 rpm would almost
certainly chip the stylus, and the stylus is a lot more valuable than most
any broken record, I would think. (And yes I know how rare and valuable
Jolson's "A Plantation Act" Vitaphone disk is, how many pieces it was broken
into, etc., and that's not the kind of disk I'm talking about! :-).

Thanks!
