If I judge someone's ideas to be dangerous to society then I cannot
respect them. Of course I may be wrong and actually be a danger to
society, but if one holds a set of views, then one has to stand by them
until or unless proved wrong, otherwise we will end up in a permanent
state of "an open mind", with all the indecisiveness that that implies. .
If I join an organisation whose aims and principles I agree with, then I
carry on as if those aims and principles are correct, otherwise there's
no point in joining.
This doesn't mean I don't listen to ideas I despise, if only for
ammunition to use against their holders.
