Many of the 1930's Swedish Deccas were by some of the hottest Swedish
swing-musicians at the time: accordionist Nisse Lind, for instance, who
certainly had his followers. A few years later Sune Waldimir, leading big
band leader, was issued on Decca, and the crooner Sven-Olof Sandberg, who
managed to get his own prefix on the Decca issues (SOS instead of F) was
actually bought over from Decca to the Swedish equivalent of the Decca label
concept, Sonora. This label marketed itself as "The Swedish Record" and had
a bargain price policy, just as UK and US Decca when they started out.
The fact that we don't see many 1930's Swedish Deccas around today doesn't
mean they weren't successful in terms of influence on the market.
