ASCII graphics work only when they are displayed using the same type 
of fonts that were used to create them. In most cases, these graphics 
were created with fixed-width fonts (such as Courier). Fixed-width 
fonts use the same amount of horizontal space for all characters. 
Most mail clients these days use proportionally-spaced fonts such as 
Times New Roman, which prevents the characters such graphics from 
lining up. For this reason it's best to avoid ASCII graphics in e-mail.
