Howbout the line in Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, 'Any Ice Today?"
I think she mentioned that they had a Fridigidare, didn't need any? IF my
memorie serves me right. They don't have THAT one on Radio Dismuke, which I
have on, most of the time. The Philco Radio, Bigger and Better than Ever!
Parody of "Bigger and Better than Ever" God! THAT dates us! Of course I
remember Philco radios, we had one in the kitchen as a kid, and it was OLD
then!Took, oh, about 4 days, to warm up! But that WAS an ad already? Of
course Tin Pan Alley did "Ads" for Henry Ford; "Tle Little old FORD Ranbled
right Along", "Henry's Made a Lady out of Lizzie" Much as Henry HATED
songwriters of that time, an anti Jewish thing?" When Henry Ford Apologized
to me" But did sales of RR tickets get a boost from " On the New York, New
Haven and Hartford" in 1912? Brand name poked fun of? The RR name , ya have
to admit DOES have a sorta musical lilt? Easier to work with than on the
"Pennsylvania RR"Or "On the Long Island" Or Amtrak??Think of what they
coulda done with the "Live Oak, Perry and Golf" an obscure short line in
Florida, the "Lean Over , Push and Grunt! As it was known locally!
