Hi, Earl,

Chacun à son goût!  That's what it always come down to!  Or more correctly, that's to what it always comes down?  Frankly, I never considered the violin (fiddle?) to be a suitable instrument for playing jazz, particularly improvisational jazz.  The tuba yes, the bass sax yes. the xylophone yes, even the drums, although they can't actually carry a melodic line.  But not the volin!
