Anybody catch Jon Stewart's take on the presidential debates last week? All
partisanship aside, he did do one hilarious record-oriented bit, observing
that Barack Obama's casual posture while sitting on a chair made him appear "so
cool, that he didn't give away whether he was campaigning for the presidency
or posing for a 1960s soul album." Stewart then showed a mock-up of Obama's
"album," "Songs in the Key of Hope," with Obama flanked by the Blue Note jazz
logo and RCA Victor's late '50s "Living Stereo" banner. Other than the mixed
label icons, it really looks like a 1960s LP! Hilarious.
If you want to see the album cover, go to _http://www.englandforobama.com/_

"The Daily Show Reviews the Second Presidential Debate" and fast forward to
7:15 of the excerpt.
Because of the volatile state of the election, please do not follow this up
with tirades on behalf of either candidate. I just thought it would be a funny
thing for record collectors to see.
